Out of all the eighties songs, I personally find this the eightiesest.

I’m comfortable enough to admit that the tuxedo-wearing frog mixing the cocktails in the video gave me nightmares as a kid. I’ve just rewatched it and it’s still disturbing to me. I’m not big on amphibians at the best of times, if I’m perfectly honest.

This song does remind me of my sister, though, as she used to sing it incessantly. Despite not being fully clued up on what an ‘Albuquerque’ was (or how to spell it). Was it a type of hot dog or a type of frog?! We found out in the end.

The design is one of my favourites. Sure, I had to trudge through swathes of long forgotten childhood anxiety to get there, but it was worth it.

I suppose in that respect I’m like a modern day Francis Bacon. Suffering…for my art. </David Brent voice>
