Description

As a 19 year old child, watching Huey Morgan rip his guitar apart after playing this song on TFI Friday very much got my approval.

That’s Huey Morgan, once of Frome in Somerset. An obvious match up, what with Frome in Somerset being a hive of vibrant nightlife, culture and nuance. I think they twinned with New York in the end.

For the design, I wanted to go a bit more Taxi Driver with it – the whole Palantine election thing in that film – but didn’t really get anywhere. So I went for the iconic yellow taxi and I think it paid off. You can’t look at those colours and not think of Dustin Hoffman about to be run over.

I really didn’t have a clue what old Huey was singing back then, mind. La-di da-di – garbled nonsense – La-di da-di, la-di.

You live and learn. Or live, learn and die in prison if you’re John Gotti.
